Technical data booklet
Vita Rescue System
This booklet contains technical specifications and design details for the Vita Rescue System, a safety system developed by Vita Aerospace.

Problem
There were large communication gaps between engineering, marketing, and sales teams, resulting in inconsistent messaging and a lack of clarity around the system's capabilities both internally and externally. There were also no graphics that clearly illustrated the system's components and functionality. Potential users were not satisfied with the existing documentation, particularly with the control pendant.
Solution
I designed and developed a technical data booklet that clearly communicated the system's technical specifications, features, and benefits. The booklet included detailed illustrations and diagrams that visually explained the system's components and functionality. I also created a consistent visual language and messaging framework to ensure that all teams were aligned in their communication about the product.
User research
Users were interviewed at conferences, trade shows, and demos to determine what information was missing from current marketing and engineering materials.

Were not satisfied with information about the control pendant
78%
Did not understand the existing visuals for the control zones of the system
71%
Wanted more information about the batteries and charging the system
95%
